VIA Journal
was published by the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Fine Arts from 1968 to 1990. The journal reflected the school's unusually broad intellectual tent, encompassing architecture, landscape architecture, city planning, urban design, and the fine arts under one roof.  Unlike the tightly theory-focused journals from Columbia and Yale in the same era, VIA was explicitly interdisciplinary from the outset. The publication ended in 1990. VIA Books was founded in 2008 and had three editions: Occupations (2008), followed by Dirt (2009) and Camouflage (2010), each edited by graduate students with faculty advisors.
