Civil Engineer and Architect's Journal

British surveyor and author William Laxton started The Civil Engineer and Architect's Journal in 1837. The first volume was published in London in 1838 and reviewed the annual progress of civil engineering and architecture as professions. Volumes included articles, reviews, illustrations, diagrams, and plans. Publication ceased in 1868.
