Space Design or SD played a significant role in the history of Japanese architectural and design publishing. Founded in 1965, it was unique for its time with a blend of radical politics, architectural theory, and commercial content. Psychedelic photo collages and manifestos appeared alongside advertisements for architectural products.  It ended in 2000.
