American House Carpenter was a series with illustrated how-to articles including practical information and rules collected and developed by prominent New York architect Robert G. Hatfield, an founding member of the AIA.  It ended in 1883 with the latest editions edited by Hatfield’s brother, architect Oliver P. Hatfield.
